Gakunan produce high-end Yakusugi work. The upstairs gallery holds an extensive and impressive exhibition of work from small trinkets to large tables and wardrobes. When visiting Gakunan it is usually always a private viewing.

Gakunan is located behind Somes store near the Yakushima Airport. However, they do not keep specific business hours and it is best to give a call before planning your visit.
