Shiosai

Shiosai (潮騒) is a Japanese restaurant a 5 minute walk from Miyanoura Port. Turn left and head towards the river from the port and it’s just after the small police station.  Dishes are based around fresh locally caught seafood. A recommended Yakushima speciality to try is mackerel sashimi – depending on availabilty.  Shiosai is popular so either book in advance or get there early.
