Sanpo-Tei

Sanpo-Tei (散歩亭)  is a popular riverside bar and restaurant located in Anbo with beautiful riverside views. Meals or drinks can be enjoyed outside from the open air riverside terrace or in the modern and airy glass fronted  2 floor casual dining area. The St Pote menu offers a melting pot of tastes from Japanese to mediterranean to asian cuisine characterised by the use of fresh, local seasonal Yakushima ingredients. The lunch menu offers a choice of a pasta based or rice based set and a selection of deserts. Vegetarian options are available on request, the staff are warm and welcoming and will be happy to cater to your requests.

The back room of St Pote is the original jazz cafe bar which in the evening serves a range of local spirits, fresh Yakushima fruit juices and an extensive alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktail menu. Cocktails are themed and range from Yakushima specialities to Star Wars inspired drinks – can you handle a Darth Vader? For groups of more than 5 people there is a ‘nomihodai’ option – ‘unlimited’ drinks for 2 hours for 2000 yen.
