Tashiro Bekkan
Tashiro Bekkan (田代別館) is ideally situated on the banks of the Miyanoura River. The Tashiro family began their hotel business on Yakushima in 1904, although the current Tashiro Bekkan was built in 1986. There are great views of the Miyanoura River and the mountains behind. If a hike around Shiratani Unsuikyo is on your agenda then this is an ideal place to stay. Rooms are traditional tatami mat style with an attached bathroom and toilet.
